Land Prep!

Last week the site of land at Lindelani was cleared and prepared for the upcomming move!

New Land

This is a Map of the new piece of land that we are going to be using to build Philani Canter on. We are going to move to it next month. At the moment we are busy shaping the land and connecting water and electricity!

Beach outing

On the last day of term we went on an outing to the beach. The day started early, with a bus drip down to the coast. The children were a bit nervous of the sea at first but before long they were shrieking with laughter and playing in the waves on the shore.

Wooden house

We were given exciting news this week, the Umvoti municipality has donated this wooden house for us to use at Lindelani. It needs a bit of restoration, but once we have replaced windows and doors and given it a few layers of varnish, it is going to be ideal for new classrooms and the baby care!

This is a video clip that we took on Friday afternoon, two of the babies from Philani joined their older brother in singing and dancing, it is very cute and worth watching!

Khehla

This is a Khehla who has been attending Philani creche for the past two years. He is known for his mischievous smile and warm hugs. This week his mother shaved his hair into the form of the South African falg! :)

Nontobeko

This is 9mth old Nontobeko! She started at Philani when she was only a month old.
We have seen her grow in leaps and bounds, she is such a joy and is full of laughs and smiles! This week she got her first teeth!
